Once a week the Gannawarra Centre holds a luncheon for elderly patrons. Its purpose is purely social and for enjoyment. A six week, three-course rotating menu is provided to guests, alongside hot beverages to end. It’s always fun to celebrate various holidays with this group and a pleasure to see so many familiar faces. At affordable prices, with excellent service, how could you not?

Co Health’s, Essendon Adults Day Centre engaging elderly participants in meaningful group social activities and a shared lunch. Activities aim to draw upon personal strengths, build on personal capacity, encourage independence, fun and involve the elderly in their community. The program provides a range of out of home activities designed to enhance the physical, emotional, psychological and social wellbeing of participants. Planned activity groups provide the opportunity for people to remain independent, participate in activities they enjoy and develop friendships in a supportive and caring environment.
Our service is available to people who reside in Moonee Valley and are frail aged, older people with a disability or carers. Participants are provided with return transport, morning tea and a nutritious three course mid-day meal.

This program seeks to improve clients English Language, literacy and or numeracy skills with the expectation that improvement may enable participants to participate more effectively in their everyday life activities, such as study, work and the like.
